Kostas Koumis was born in Paralimni in 1977.

He graduated from Paralimni Lyceum in 1995 and then fulfilled his military service.

He studied Business Administration and holds a postgraduate degree in Communication.

He served as Communication Manager of the Ammochostos Chamber of Commerce, Director of the Tourist Commercial Industrial Company of Ammochostos and as manager in businesses of the private sector.

He served as Vice Chairman of the Cyprus Tourism Organization from 2014 to 2018 and as Vice Chairman of the Cyprus Telecommunications Authority (CYTA)

from 2019 to 2020. He also served as Chairman of the CYTA Audit Committee for the same period.

He also worked as visiting professor at a University as well as at a higher education School.

From 2020 to 2021, he presented the online show ‘Tourism at the Epicentre’.

From July 2021, he is member of the Public Service Commission.

He is married to Maria Synesi from Deryneia and occupied Rizokarpaso and they have two children, Georgiana and Panagiotis.
